How much does Bishop's cost?
First year, at this year's prices, for a student from Ontario. Each program's page adds up its own total.
Tuition over the years
First-year arts tuition for a student from the school's own province, as the school published it each year.
What is it like at Bishop's?
The same whatever program you pick.
- Who gets a room
- All first-year students who accept their offer and apply to residence with the first $500 deposit before 15 June (Fall entry); out-of-province students included (no province condition)
- Money just for your marks
- $10,000 for 90% and up, can renew each year
- First-years who rate it good or excellent
- Not published
- Finish their degree
- Not published
- Ways in without the usual marks
- Mature student admission. For applicants who do not meet the usual academic requirements. Bishop's must be satisfied that the applicant can succeed, usually through at least three university-level courses in one semester part-time, an evaluation of earlier studies, and/or 'a history of professional experience with increasing responsibility'. Case-by-case; a CV (résumé) and letter of intent are required. Who: Applicants 21 or older by 1 September (Fall) or 1 January (Winter) who have not been registered full-time in high school, college or CEGEP (a Quebec public college) for at least two academic years (five years if the earlier studies were university).
- Part-time general interest studies, then degree admission. Take up to 11 credits a semester without being admitted to a program, then apply to a degree. Students without the formal admission requirements 'may be evaluated for degree admission based on their performance': normally three courses (9 credits) in one semester with at least a 65% average (75% for the Williams School of Business). Credits earned can count toward the degree. Who: Canadian citizens and permanent residents aged 19 or older by the first day of classes.
What do Bishop's graduates earn?
Statistics Canada does not publish pay by university, only by field for each province's graduates. Figures are for Quebec bachelor's graduates, the class of 2022 two years after and the class of 2019 five years after, in 2024 dollars.
