Careerhelp is a free guide to careers, run from Ontario, Canada. It tells you what a job pays, what training it takes, what the licensing looks like and what the work is actually like, for hundreds of careers in Canada and the United States.

This is the important one. Everything here is general information about careers in general, not guidance about you in particular. Careerhelp does not know your situation, and nothing on it should be treated as career, financial, legal, immigration or educational advice.

Before you spend money or commit years to something, check with the school, the regulator, the licensing body or the employer directly. They are the authority on their own requirements. This site is not.

Pay figures, timelines and costs come from public sources, and each career lists the ones it used along with the date it was last checked. They are typical figures for a whole country, which means they will not match any particular job in any particular city. Wage surveys are also published on a delay, so a figure can be a year or more behind the market.

Real care goes into these numbers, but no promise is made that all of them are current, complete or correct. Treat them as a starting point for your own research, not as a quote.

Read it, print the one-page summaries, share links, and use it with students or clients. That is what it is for.

What is not allowed is republishing the content as your own, copying it wholesale onto another site, or scraping it in bulk to build a competing product. The writing is original and belongs to the operator.

The site links to government surveys, regulators, colleges and trade bodies as sources. Those are other people's sites, they change without notice, and a link is not an endorsement or a guarantee of what you will find there.

The site is provided as it is. There is no guarantee that it will be available, error free, or up to date, and it can change or disappear at any time.

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on something you read here, including a decision about study, training, money or work. Some places do not allow those limits to be excluded, and where that is the case, this clause applies only as far as it legally can.

• Charge you, or put anything behind a payment.
• Ask you to create an account.
• Sell your information, because it does not collect any.
• Take money to rank a career higher or present it more favourably.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live somewhere else, you keep any consumer protection rights in your own country that cannot be signed away by a clause like this one.

These terms can change. The date at the top is the record of when they last did, and continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
