Careerhelp for schools
The whole site, licensed to your school: 895 careers, the guides and lists, the career quiz and the Ontario university comparer. $0.95 per student per year.
The dates
Careerhelp is open to everyone until Friday 20 November 2026. From then on, access is through a school licence. Ontario schools come first, because Careerhelp is made in Ontario, and they get the lowest rate it will offer anywhere: pricing for the United States, when it opens, will be higher.
Orders placed now are invoiced on 20 November 2026 with 30 days to pay. Nothing is due before that.
What your students get
- 895 careers, each in five parts: the path from high school, what it pays and where that figure comes from, what the training costs, licences and exams, and the honest pros and cons. Every career has a printable one-page summary.
- The university comparer: 1,312 first-year programs at all 22 Ontario universities, with the admission range the school publishes, the Grade 12 courses it asks for, co-op, tuition, residence, scholarships for a given average, and a rough cost for the whole degree. Students search a program and see the schools that offer it side by side.
- The guides and lists: careers in demand, highest paying trades, two years or less, careers you can do from home, and the rest, built from the same sourced data.
- The career quiz, for the students who do not know where to start.
- Nothing to install and no student accounts. Students use it on any device, at school or at home, and the site collects nothing about them.
The price
$0.95 per enrolled student per school year, plus HST where it applies. A school of 1,100 students pays $1,045.00 a year. The rate was set at under a dollar on purpose, so that a school can decide on its own budget without a board process, and in time for this year's applications.
The first licence year runs from set-up to 31 August 2027. Renewal is a new order each year; schools are written to before the year ends, and nothing renews on its own.
Founding schools
2,000 Ontario schools are being licensed in the first year, so that set-up and support stay personal. The first 500 schools to order are founding schools: their rate is held at $0.95 through the 2028-29 school year, and they are set up and in use before university applications open in January.
How access works
Each licensed school gets its own access link and code. Students open it once on a device and the site remembers them for the school year. There are no student accounts, no passwords to manage and no data about students stored anywhere. Staff get a one-page handout to share.
Where the numbers come from
Pay comes from Job Bank and the Bureau of Labor Statistics; training, costs and licensing from the regulator, apprenticeship authority or college that sets them; university figures from each university's own pages, with the source and the date on every value. Nobody pays to be included or described more kindly, and there are no affiliate links. Careerhelp was included in the Ontario School Counsellors' Association newsletter, OSCA News, in October 2026.
Order
The order takes about three minutes: the school, the number of students, who to confirm with, and a billing contact if the invoice should go elsewhere. A person confirms every order by email within one business day.
