Where the figures for ontario colleges and their programs come from, how they were collected, and what checking every source link found. Used on /ca/colleges, /ca/college-programs, /ca/compare and /ca/program-finder.

How the figures were collected

Nineteen of Ontario's 24 public colleges are covered program by program (Humber, George Brown, Confederation, Canadore and La Cité are not included yet). Each college is one file with a checked date.

Programs, required courses, admission wording, length, campuses, placements and extra steps: each college's own program pages, copied as written. Most college programs publish required courses rather than an average; where a program is marked competitive, the page says so instead of inventing a number.
Tuition and fees: the college's own fee pages for an Ontario student, first year, tuition only, with compulsory fees shown separately where the college prints them.
Graduate employment, graduate satisfaction, employer satisfaction and graduation rate: the Government of Ontario's college graduation, satisfaction and job rates page (the ministry's key performance indicators survey, graduates surveyed six months out). Per-program employment rates come from the college's own KPI (key performance indicator) pages where it publishes them; the province publishes college-wide figures only.
Pay two and five years after graduating: Statistics Canada table 37-10-0280-01, the median employment income of Ontario college graduates of 2019 in 2021 and 2024, in 2024 dollars, by field of study and credential (certificate, diploma or bachelor's degree; an advanced diploma uses the diploma figure because Statistics Canada does not split them). A program shows a figure only when one Statistics Canada field matches its field closely; skilled trades, community services and science match none and show none. Groups under 100 graduates are marked small.

Most cited first: every site with three or more links, and the first two hundred in any case. The rest are sites cited once or twice (a regulator's page, one school's calendar); every one of their links is on the page that cites it and in the spreadsheet above.
