How this is worked out

Each program's Grade 12 requirements come from its page at the school, the same requirements the program finder checks marks against. A program needs MEL4E when, with MEL4E taken away and every other Grade 12 course still on offer, one of its requirements can no longer be met. A requirement a Grade 11 course can also meet never counts as closed, and requirements a school words in a way that cannot be read as courses are left out. Schools change requirements, so check the program's own page before you decide.
