Pay after graduating in computer science
Typical yearly pay two years after a bachelor's degree, for all Ontario graduates in this field. No one publishes pay by university, so this is the same for every university above. It does not cover college graduates.

Tuition over the years
First-year arts tuition for students from Ontario. The province sets the yearly change for every program, so other programs moved the same way from their own starting point.

About these numbers
Universities
Graduation, employment and retention come from the Common University Data Ontario tables published by the Council of Ontario Universities, the same year for every school so they can be compared: graduates of 2021 two years later, students who started in 2015 finishing by 2022, and students who started in 2021 coming back for second year. Where a school is missing from those tables, its own figure is used and its year is shown.
Entering average comes from the same council tables (section B3): the overall average of the new full-time first-year students from Ontario high schools in the program group that holds the field you picked, fall 2022 entering class, the newest published. It describes who enrolled, not the cut-off to get in, and covers Ontario universities only. The council's CUDO (Common University Data Ontario) report tool (opens in a new tab).
Universities outside Ontario are not in those tables. Their figures come from each school's own reports and its province's graduate survey, with the year and window shown beside each one: most finish-a-degree figures there count six years, not seven. Graduates working is shown only where the survey counts it the way Ontario does, out of graduates who are working or looking for work. A rate out of everyone who answered, students included, reads far lower, so it is left out rather than set beside Ontario's.
Tuition and the official admission ranges come from each university's own fee schedules and program pages. Tuition is first year, tuition only, for students from Ontario. At a school outside Ontario that is its rate for students from another province; what the school's own residents pay is shown under it. Schools outside Ontario that publish an admission range for Ontario applicants are shown with that range.
Pay is Statistics Canada's median for all university graduates in the field in each school's province, because no one publishes pay by university.
Everything is grouped by broad field of study, because that is how the government and the universities report outcomes. A specific program can differ from its field. Check the university's own page before you apply.
Colleges
Graduates working, finishing their program and satisfaction come from Ontario's college Key Performance Indicators, published by the province for every public college in the same year (the province's table): graduates of 2021-22, asked six months after they finished. They cover the whole college, not one program. Where a college publishes a figure for the program itself and 10 or more graduates answered, it is shown with the program.
Programs, courses, tuition, fees and placements come from each college's own program pages, checked in October 2026. Tuition is first year, tuition only, for students from Ontario. Most college programs publish no admission average: you get in by having the required courses, and competitive programs pick from the applicants with the best marks in them.

Mixing the two
Universities and colleges measure some figures differently: graduates working two years after a degree, six months after a college program. When a comparison mixes the two, each row says how its school measures it. Fields are matched to the nearest one at each kind of school, so computer science at a university sits beside computing and IT at a college.
