A typical shift

On a day shift you start with check-outs, a queue, and the previous night's notes. Mid morning is quiet: emails, reservations, blocking rooms for arrivals. You call housekeeping to chase a room that is not ready and apologize to the guest waiting for it. From 3pm the arrivals start and do not stop for four hours. Between check-ins you take a complaint about noise, book a taxi, sell an upgrade and find a lost phone charger. Overnight, the lobby empties and you run the audit.
