A typical day
In by 7am for the morning stand-up: who is arriving, who is complaining, what broke overnight. Walk the building, check the lobby and a few rooms. Late morning is numbers, last night's occupancy and rate, the labor schedule, invoices. Afternoon is people: interviews, a coaching conversation, a vendor. Somewhere in there a guest demands to see the manager and you handle it yourself. You leave at 7pm and your phone stays on, because a hotel does not close.
