A typical day

Start with the morning meeting: what work is planned today and what could go wrong doing it. Then you walk. Fall protection tied off properly, guards on machines, the excavation shored, the right respirator for the right dust, extinguishers where they should be. You write up what you find and chase the fixes. If something happens you drop everything: treat it, secure the scene, interview people, work out the real cause rather than the easy one, and write the report. The rest is training sessions, permits, inspections and paperwork nobody enjoys.
