A typical day

Lessons stack around school and work hours, so a real day is often 3pm to 8pm plus most of Saturday. Pick up a student at their house, plan the hour before you leave the curb: quiet streets for a first lesson, highway merging for someone near their test. Ninety minutes of instructions, corrections and one or two moments where you use the pedal on your side. Notes on the student's progress, then straight to the next one. Some instructors also teach classroom sessions in the evening.
