A typical day

Most of it is you, a keyboard and a screen. A screen project starts with watching the scene with the director and agreeing where music goes and what it is doing. Then you write, usually against a deadline measured in days. Afternoons go to notes from a client who cannot read music and says things like make it more blue. When there is a recording session you are on the podium or in the booth for a long day, then you mix. Between projects you chase invoices, register your works and try to get the next job.
