A typical day

Start at the shop or straight from home in the van. Two to four jobs a day: a new alarm and cameras at a house, a door access upgrade at an office, a service call where a warehouse camera went dark. You run cable through ceilings and walls, mount devices, connect a panel, then program and test it all on a laptop or phone app. You finish by walking the customer through the system and writing up the job.
