A typical day
Arrive before opening: cash floats, the overnight sales report, who called in sick. Walk the floor, fix displays, check the stockroom. A staff huddle on the day's target. Then the day fills with interruptions: a customer complaint, a delivery, a shift swap, a call from the district manager, a price change from head office. Interviewing a new hire between all of that. Closing: counting cash, setting the alarm. Weekends and December are the busiest and you will work them.
