A typical week

There is no typical day, only a typical week. Hospital and home visits. A funeral, which takes over whatever else you had planned. Meetings with a board about the roof and the budget. Preparing a sermon or a teaching, which takes far longer than people assume. A wedding rehearsal. Counselling someone through a marriage breakdown or a death. Then the main service itself, and the two hours of conversation afterwards that matter as much as the service did.
