A typical day

In the growing season you are in a truck by 7am driving between farms, walking fields, digging up roots, counting pests and photographing problems. You phone or message farmers with recommendations all day and write them up at night. Spring and harvest are frantic. In winter you run soil test results, build crop plans for next season, sit through farmer meetings and take courses to keep your certification.
