• TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) practitioner

  A longer program that adds herbal medicine. A separate registration class in BC and Ontario.

• Doctor of TCM (traditional Chinese medicine)

  The top registration class in BC. Several more years of study.

• Cupping, moxibustion, electro-acupuncture

  Usually taught in the diploma. Popular with athletes and pain patients.

• A second health credential

  Many acupuncturists are also massage therapists or naturopathic doctors, which fills a schedule faster.
