Morning at a desk reading a rezoning application and checking it against the zoning code. A meeting with a developer who wants something the code does not allow. Writing a staff report with a recommendation you will have to defend. Answering a resident who is worried about parking. Then, once or twice a month, an evening planning commission hearing that runs past 10pm.
