A typical day

Wake in the sleeper, run the pre-trip inspection, log on. Drive for four or five hours, stop for a 30 minute break, drive again. Somewhere in there you sit at a shipper waiting for a door. Find a parking spot by early evening, because after 7pm the truck stops are full and parking is the real daily problem. Eat, call home, sleep in the bunk, get up and do it again. You cover roughly 500 miles on a good day.
