A typical day

Arrive 30 minutes early at the meeting point with a sign and a headcount list. Greet people as they drift in, work out who is nervous and who will ask questions. Then two to three hours of walking, talking, counting heads at every crossing and adjusting the story for the group in front of you. Answer the same three questions for the hundredth time without sounding bored. Point the group at a restaurant, collect tips, and do it again at 2pm.
