A typical day

Open up, check the rack of tickets, and work through what is due. A pile of pants to hem, a jacket to take in at the waist, a dress that needs the straps shortened. Customers come in for fittings through the day, so you stop, pin, mark and talk. Afternoons are pressing and finishing, because a mediocre seam pressed well beats a perfect seam that is not. You close by tagging the finished work and calling the people whose garments are ready.
