A typical day

Open a model of a building and change something because the architect moved a wall. Rerun the analysis, check the members, and see what the change did to the foundations. Answer three emails from a contractor who has hit a pipe where your beam was meant to go. Mark up drawings, check a junior engineer's calculations, and spend an hour on the code clause that decides whether your answer is legal. Once or twice a month, go to site and look at the real thing.
