  Arteries and veins. The RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) credential, and it pairs well with general scanning.

• Cardiac

  Echocardiography. The RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) credential, and among the best paid corners of the field.

• Musculoskeletal

  Tendons, muscles and joints, often in sports medicine and orthopedic clinics.

• Pregnancy and fetal scanning

  High volume work, and specialist fetal echocardiography is a smaller, better paid niche.
