A typical day

Stand-up meeting at 9:30. Then some mix of writing code, running it on a real machine in a test cell, and watching it fail in a way nobody predicted. Afternoons go to design reviews, ordering parts, and arguing about whether a problem is mechanical, electrical or software. Weeks before a demo or a factory install, the hours get long and the lab gets loud. Much of the job is patience: robots are physical, and physical things break.
