A typical day
Calls and messages, mostly. You open with new applicants, then reach out to people who never applied at all. Late morning is phone screens, half an hour each, deciding who moves forward. Afternoons are intake meetings with hiring managers, scheduling, and chasing interview feedback nobody wants to write. The day often ends on an offer call, which is half negotiation and half counseling. A quiet week drags. The week a candidate turns down an offer is very long indeed.
