A typical shift

Take the handover from the previous operator, read the job ticket, check stock and ink. Makeready: hang plates, set registration, bring the color to the proof. Then a pull, a check under the light booth, an adjustment, another pull. Once it is running you monitor, pull samples every few hundred sheets, and keep the press fed. Wash up, change jobs, do it again. It is loud, it smells of ink and solvent, and the clock moves fast.
