A typical week

The week builds to one deadline. Early on you chase managers for missing or unapproved timesheets and load new hires, terminations and raises. Then you run a preview, hunt for anything that looks wrong, and fix it. On processing day the run goes out, deposits hit accounts, and tax payments are submitted. The rest of the time is questions from employees, garnishment orders, benefit deductions and quarter-end filings.
