A typical day

Drafting: a motion, a discovery response, a client letter, an affidavit. Fact work: organizing exhibits, summarizing medical records, checking a timeline against the file. Research: pulling case law and statutes so the attorney can read the two that matter instead of forty. Deadlines run the day, because court filing dates are unforgiving. During a trial the pace changes completely and you may live at the office for a week.
