A typical day

Mornings are usually clinic: measuring and casting a new socket, checking how a brace is rubbing, watching someone walk up and down the hallway and adjusting the alignment a few millimeters at a time. Afternoons can be lab work, shaping and laminating, or writing the notes and justification letters that get insurers to pay. Every few weeks somebody takes their first steps on a new leg in front of you.
