What the work is

The Navy describes the job as getting into and out of places by sea, air or land, gathering information on reconnaissance missions, small-unit raids on military targets, capturing high-value enemy personnel, and scouting and clearing obstacles underwater before a landing. Teams train in deserts, cities, mountains, jungles and arctic cold. Much of the time is training: the Navy lists 18 months of it before a deployment.
