A typical week
Monday morning you fly or log in to the client. You spend the week interviewing their staff, pulling data out of systems nobody has documented and building a spreadsheet that explains what is really happening. Evenings go into slides. Thursday you present what you have found so far and get told half of it is wrong. Friday is internal: your own firm's meetings, training and the next proposal. A project runs six to twelve weeks, then you start over somewhere else with a new industry to learn in a weekend.
