A typical day on a set

Call time is often before sunrise. You set up the trailer, lay out the kit and start the first actor while it is still dark. Each face takes 30 to 90 minutes, longer with prosthetics. Then you are on standby all day: watching the monitor, stepping in between takes to fix sweat, blot shine and keep continuity matching the shots from three days ago. You eat when the crew eats. Wrap can be 14 hours after call, then you clean brushes and reset for tomorrow.
