A typical day
Fifteen minutes with the team on what moved and what is stuck. Then the stuck things: chasing an approval, getting two teams to agree on a date, rewriting a plan because a dependency slipped. Midday is usually stakeholders, meaning the people paying for this, who want a number. Afternoon is the written update, the risk list and next week's schedule. The work is almost entirely conversation and documents, and it is much harder than that makes it sound.
