A typical day

On site by 6:30am, tool belt on, weather whatever it is. Read the placement drawings, then move and set bar: lifting, spacing, tying with wire and pliers, thousands of ties in a shift. Crane picks come in through the morning, so someone is rigging and signalling. Concrete pours set the clock, so the crew finishes an area before the trucks arrive. Bent over or on your knees for long stretches, then a hard stop at the end of the shift.
