A typical day

Load the truck at the yard, drive to a house that is framed but not drywalled. Measure the bays, cut batts, staple and fit them around wiring and pipes so there are no gaps, because a gap is where the heat leaves. Then the attic: a hose, a blower and hours of loose fill while somebody feeds the machine below. On a mechanical job it is different work in a plant: measuring pipe runs, fabricating covers, fitting and sealing them around valves and elbows, often on scaffolding. Either way it is dusty, hot in summer, and you finish itching.
