A typical day

Morning is a design review: pin up 30 sketches, argue for three of them, lose two. Then hours in the modeling software turning the survivor into a proper digital model with real dimensions. Afternoon in the shop cutting foam or pulling a part off the 3D printer so people can hold it. Later, a call with an engineer explaining why the wall thickness you want will not mold, and a compromise that makes the product slightly worse and actually buildable.
