A typical day
Morning is the inbox: somebody's insurance card never arrived, a manager wants to post a job, a new hire starts Monday and nothing is set up. Late morning, two phone interviews. Afternoon, a meeting with a supervisor about an employee who keeps showing up late, where your job is to make sure it is handled the same way it would be for anyone else. Then paperwork nobody sees: leave requests, pay changes, a policy update. Quarter end adds reporting.
