A typical day

Open, check the book, mix the first color. Then clients back to back: a cut, a root touch up processing while you cut someone else, a full highlight that eats three hours. You talk the whole time, and a lot of the job is remembering what people told you six weeks ago. Between clients you sweep, sanitize tools and answer messages. Saturdays are the busiest day of the week, and if there is a wedding you may be starting at 5am.
