  Using predator insects instead of sprays. Hard, in demand, and increasingly what large buyers require.

• Hydroponics and controlled environment growing

  Lettuce, herbs and tomatoes grown year round under LED (light emitting diode) lighting. A different skill set and usually better paid.

• Propagation

  Growing young plants that other greenhouses buy. Fussy, technical work with fewer people who can do it.
