A typical day

Requests come in: the water department needs every valve within 50 feet of a planned dig, a council member wants a map of tree cover by neighborhood, a field crew found a manhole that is not in the database. You pull the layers, clean the data, run the analysis, design a map that answers the question, and send it. Between requests you fix broken data, write scripts so the same request is faster next time, and keep the public map current.
