A typical day

Morning is research and sketching: trend boards, old garments pulled apart, fabric swatches spread across a table. Midday is a fitting, where a sample goes on a live model and gets pinned, argued over and marked up. Afternoon is email to a factory about why the sleeve came back wrong, a cost meeting where someone tells you the fabric is too expensive, and revised flats. Deadlines cluster around market weeks, and then everything is due at once.
