A typical day

Court in the morning, usually short hearings stacked on one docket: temporary support, a schedule change, an argument about who gets the dog. Back at the office by noon for client calls, most of them emotional and none of them short. Afternoon is drafting: a settlement agreement, a motion, a financial disclosure. Somewhere in there you chase a client who has not paid, because collecting your own fees is a real part of this job.
