A typical day

Twenty to thirty patients, each booked for 15 or 20 minutes: a check-up, a rash, chest pain that needs sorting out today, a diabetes review, a teenager who will not say what is wrong until minute 14. Between them, refills and referrals. Then the part nobody warns you about: an inbox of lab results, insurance forms and messages that takes one to two hours after the last patient leaves. The reward is that you see the same families for years and you know what changed.
