A typical day, and a typical event day

Most days are quiet office work: budgets, contracts, chasing a venue for a floor plan, comparing catering quotes, updating a run sheet nobody else will ever read. Then event week arrives and it inverts. You are on site at 6am in comfortable shoes with a radio, watching trucks unload, fixing a registration desk that is in the wrong place, and standing at the back of the room timing speakers. You will be the first person there and the last one to leave.
