A typical day

A 6am or 7am start on site. Read the prints, lay out where things go, then bend and hang conduit, pull wire, and mount panels, lights and outlets. Afternoons often mean terminations and testing. Service electricians instead drive between calls all day, diagnosing faults in houses and small businesses. Everything stops for safety checks before anything gets energized, and that is not a formality.
