A typical day

On site by 6:30 or 7am. Stock the rooms you are working, which means carrying sheets that weigh 50 to 100 pounds each up stairs and through doorways. Then hanging: measure, score, snap, cut the openings for outlets, lift, screw off. Ceilings first, walls after, often on stilts. A short lunch sitting on a stack of board. Afternoon is more of the same at pace, because on piece rate the clock is money. Sweep up, count what you hung, and go home covered in white dust.
