A typical day

Eight to ten patients, most of them booked for an hour. Review the medical history, take X-rays if they are due, probe and chart the gums, then scale and polish. Halfway through you flag anything concerning for the dentist, who steps in for a two minute check. You explain to an adult that their gums are bleeding for a reason, and try to make that stick. Then you reset the room and do it again. Lunch is an hour, and you leave at five.
