A typical day

Morning starts with your list: who missed an appointment, whose prescription ran out, who just left the hospital. You call, and for the ones who do not answer you drive out. A home visit might be checking blood pressure, sorting out a ride to dialysis, filling in a benefits form at a kitchen table, or just sitting with someone who has stopped answering the clinic. Afternoons are often a group session or a screening event at a church or a school. The last hour is case notes, because nothing counts unless it is written down.
