A typical day

Teach a three-hour lab in the morning: demonstrate, then walk the room while students work. Office hours after lunch, which is half advising and half catching the student who is about to fail. Afternoon spent grading, updating the online course, and answering email. One afternoon a week is a department or advisory committee meeting, where local employers tell the college what graduates need to know. Evenings are your own, except during grading weeks.
