A typical day

It depends entirely on where you are stationed. At a small boat station: watch rotations, engine and boat maintenance, training drills, and the alarm that sends a crew out to a sinking vessel at 2am. On a cutter: weeks at sea, a fixed watch cycle, drills, boardings and long stretches of maintenance. At a shore unit: closer to an office job with uniforms. Everyone stands duty, and everyone cleans.
