A typical day

Call time 6am. Unload the truck and build the camera: body, lens, matte box, monitor, batteries. Block the first shot with the director and the director of photography, mark it, shoot it, move on. Between setups you are waiting while lighting works, then repeating a shot eight times because a car drove past. Lunch is exactly six hours after call. Wrap is 12 hours after call if you are lucky, then everything gets taken apart and packed away.
